The nuc will consist of: A plastic jester nuc box with 5 deep frames. A laying queen with bees to cover brood. 3 frames of brood consisting of every stage of brood such as capped brood, larvae and eggs. 1 frame with pollen and honey. 1 frame for them to work to prevent overcrowding and cause them to swarm. Bees will be covering 4 frames or more.
 
The queens are bred from Italians with VSH Pol lines and Joe Latshaw genetics from Ohio. They are great honey producers with an average in my operation of 60lbs per colony. Queens are not marked.
 
Each nuc is made from my own colonies.
They are $200 each. The $20 is a down payment to reserve your order. This $20 will be taken off the $200 so $180 due at pick up. Down payments are non-refundable.
 
Pick up information:
Nuc pick up dates can vary depending on the weather. Typically, they are available from the third week of April to the 2nd week of May.
Bees MUST be picked up 5 days from the day I call for pick up. These are live animals, and they are ready for a deep box. Leaving them in a nuc box for too long can cause them to swarm. I AM NOT responsible for failed pickups and swarming.
 
I typically do pick ups around 9am in the morning and 830pm at night.
 
If I do not get a response within 3 days of calling or emailing, I will need to move on to the next person to pick up.
 
Once the nuc leaves the premises, I am no longer responsible for overheating, swarming, queen failure due to smushing, getting stung etc.
 
If there is a problem, please contact me within 48 hours so we can discuss the problem and come up with a solution. I have inspected every nuc before pick up to verify a strong healthy colony, with laying queen, nice laying pattern and plenty of brood and feed. You may also open the nuc to ensure your bees are intact. Please know that pulling frames can and will cause bees to fly. I am not responsible for the lost bees. All sales are final after the 48 hour period.
 
Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations or failed pickups.
If I am unable to fill the order, then your deposit will be refunded to you.
 
 
Orders due by April 1st. If sold out before then, I will mark out of stock. Please don't wait too long as I sell out each year.
